Why Worry? Phillipians 4:6

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:6, 8 NLT)

I’m so grateful for the simple things in life. My over analyzing brain often has its wheels spinning to the point of indecision. It’s comical that I actually am literally paralyzed, because I feel like it’s not the physical paralysis that gets in the way of a life well lived – it’s the emotional, the mental, it’s often my own mind. Thankfully, we have scriptures like this one to roll us and snap us back to the the unseen reality. I know what to think on…it is Him.

Moving Ahead – Isaiah 43:18-19

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isa. 43:18-19

I love this verse as it gives me encouragement in new beginnings. We can’t live in the past even though our past effects us.  No matter what age or stage we are currently walking or running or wheeling through, there is a newness about today.  A freshness can be found even in our difficulties.

This was one of my memory verses this year – February’s first verse in 2011.  You can read about my memorization plan for the year here.
